at last uve found one! wahay!
car for my engine upgrade.
went to see it lastnight. written off GT1. not the ideal car i was looking for, cos its a GT1 but its will be ok other than that if great.
its got a few things missing - Rad, few pipes, starter motor, coil pack and possibly the rear beam/brakes etc, but other than that its all there.
so now i've pretty much got the car. wot do ppl suggest i do next. the engine isnt perfect. i knew that. i am planning to rebuild it before it goes into the car. the valve stem oil seals need replacing and a guide for the cam.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would start sourcing the parts you need. As it is a GT1 you should be lucky and get them all second hand, I would then get the engine rebuilt and tested before installing it 8)
you can worry about the rear discs later, as long as you dont go crazy when its fitted
will it be done for Elvington
cheers dale. do u think i will be ok on my rear drums temporarily?
yes julie, i'm hoping it will be done for elvington.

drums will be fine, just dont get to excited
unlike GT owners, you wont have ABS to help out in sticky situations
i could have ABS if i wanted it, but its to much hassle, never liked it either.
big brakes on the front will be good then, and once i start playing withthe engine, which wont be long, i'll sort out the rear aswell.
cheers guys
