    thinking... HGT or GT?

I'm thinking of gettin a GT or HGT which do you guys recommend?

I'm thinking HGT coz I dont really wanna mod it due to insurance and i'm thinking a HGT is newer so will probably have less wrong with it.

But HGT's are piss slow if you're not gonna mod it.

If you dont want to mod ya car, get a micra 1.4 16v, rapid as fook

Test drive both, then get a GT. As you'll want one.

    Ah, "big dude" eh...

Forget about the GT and HGT, you need something altogether bigger and faster... maybe a step up into Seat Ibiza land?

    I wondered about this one.
I thought about a GT but it wasn't much too different to my Sporting. Ok it's faster but the rest of the car is the same.
I wanted to move onto a more modern car which was safer as well. Both HGT and 206 are 4 star ncap cars.

The HGT is good but my 206 GTi does everything else better. It's faster, stops better, handles better and feels more expensive. It's more easily tuned and has a bigger engine so it's a better base car for tuning.
It's not the quickest hot hatch but i like it's combination of everything really. I also average 33mpg too!
It's cheaper to insure than an HGT even though it's in the same grouping.
I think if you get a post March 2001 206 GTi it's cheaper to tax as well coz the engine has cleaner emission than the HGT.

It is more expensive to buy than an HGT but it's worth it.

if you require a more modern more refined car thats reasonable in performance go HGT
if its balls to the walls crazy man excitement with less refinement then it has to be GT

i drove pickups seb 2'd gt last night and i was smiling ear to ear - then again i couldn't drive it every day..................i'd get banned

WTF do you want that for??

Aircon yes - the rest of it though ???

206's do handle well, ideally could do with stiffer springs, but the chassis is pretty damn good.
