Trying to trace my old car S297 EFC

    Evening all,

Just been flicking through old car project pics and wondered if my Punto is still around? It's a black GT3 was quite a clean car back in the day. I checked DVLA and it was SORN back in 2014 so wondered if it's laid up somewhere? If anyone knows let me know

    Thanks

    Hi Paul,

I've often tried to track it. I was the owner after yourself, I sold it back in 2009 and the guys didn't keep it long. It ended up back with someone on this site soon after... I cant remember his username though :S. He owned an Uno Turbo in black too.

The last time I saw it, there was a lot of modifications you and I had put onto it missing which was a shame. Not much help I know, but I too would love to see it again!

    Thanks,
    Mat

I sold it a while ago now, I did see it up forsale on gumtree for £600 with a blown turbo, the morettes and wheels painted green, looked in a sorry state, this was about a year ago, I was tempted to buy it at the time but it was for sale in scotland and it needed too much work

these are the pics of how it was when I sold it

Thanks for your reply and pics mate. Looked in good shape when you had it! It got traded in at the fiat dealer I work at with about 60k miles on it and couldn't resist, was completely standard at the time but the clutch was worn and was overdue a cambelt so I done that and then added bits and pieces. Nice to hear it plodded on until 103k without any issues too. If it was rusting away back in 2012 and ended up in Scotland there's probably nothing left of it now lol

A shame when cars that are looked after seem to be completely neglected when sold on. My GT3 lasted until 2008 iirc when it was scrapped. I'd had it for 6.5 years up to the end of 2004 when I bought a 182 - which I still have to this day.

Strangely, I had an extremely vivid dream a few months back - of owning my GT3 and taking it for a drive. One of those slightly weird 'WTF?' moments when I woke up.
