    dump valve

just bought a Collins dump valve but had to swap the main spring with the standard forge yellow spring, the standard spring in the Collins was so strong it wouldn't even open the piston at idle, anyone else had this problem.

even on full boost it took about a second after lifting off before dumping half the air had gone back over the turbo, just as well I had a spare spring that fit perfectly

I tried a Collins a few years ago, couldn't get on with it, the 'dump' was too short so didn't sound great. Went back to the DV26

DV26 is the gayest sounding DV ever though.

Collins are for big boost setups and it always was the better DV, bullet proof unlike the Baileys or Forge units people used back then.

Sounds like you've maybe got something plumbed in wrong or an air leak if its taking a second for it to dump,it should be straight away and thorough.

The Bailey's are a bit sneezy like

I love the sound of the Forge DVs, the only sound better than them is compressor stall You're right about quality of the Forge DVs, they need a rebuild after about 40k miles...

Not had any experience with the Collins so will have to take your word on their bulletproofness!

ignore the psi ratings as I used a green spring in the forge and it holds boost perfectly, the spring I got in the Collins standard was more like the red spring, it was really hard to compress by hand
