Always use Paypal, it is well beyond me why people pay complete strangers via methods that aren't recoverable.

i did attempt paypal but didnt work, i know alarm should of started ringing then, just thought there must be a reasonable explanation for it. your right though very very dumb! i might aswell of gave him my bank details!
Just didnt think another gt member would rob me to be honest.

Same thing happened to me last year pal. It was on here sent payment as a gift because I'd never had any problems from people on here and also the guy had like 2000+ posts, so I just thought he'd be trustworthy but nope, he never logged in again and the part never arrived. There are still people on here I still send by a gift but since that incident i pay the extra 3.4% paypal fees to avoid problems. I hope you get your money back pal but if not lesson learnt!

Paypal fees are a fee to the payee and is a charge for services, sellers should just get used to this.

Always pay by paypal and never as a gift unless you personally know the seller.

Oh dear this is sh1t to hear, I've met the bloke and sold him a nomad pillar pod but it was face to face so got the cash immediately.
