close ratio gearbox solutions

[Punto Turbo GT]

Hi folks, iam looking for some information if anyone can confirm my questions, i have a punto turbo gt , and i know that the gearbox is the same as the Tipo/tempra ,eg: the gear selsctor and starter position, and a few other small things , but the drive shafte are different , tipo has a tripod type D/S and the punto has splined shafts,now what iam trying to find out is are the internal gears interchangable, any help is welcome and thanks

Hi, Yes they are along with quite a few other fiat/lancia and Alfa boxes.
