    Fiat Punto Active Sport 1.2 in car heater not working

    I just bort a punto active sport and the in car heater/blower was only working on 3 and now isn't working at all anyone know the main causes ????

    Look right under the dash behind the glove box, you will see a plug going I to the fan assembly, the resistor is held in at one end by a screw or a bolt , hard to explain but have a look and you should see it

    Thanks very much another one for you when I plug my sat nav in the cigarette lighter to charge it like smokes and burns the end of my sat nav plug it does all different plugs too any ideas ? The fuse is okay tho

    The issue with these are that fiat in their infinate wisdom did not create it properly. they used weak wires and plug components for these parts. and they subsquently melt/fail.

    The resistor block acts as an impeadance to the current supplied to the motor. at speed one there is more resistance than speed two. on the final speed - im presuming this is 3 on yours there is no resistance. - Subesquently you can hard wire it to only run at these speed which we have done on our grande.

    it will only run the fan on that speed however it will work.

    these is a cheap way to get it running again if the plugs are melted as you ll need to replace them also.
