To be honest the Audi would still have had his foot down working through the gears. It's not like a leisurely blast at 1/4 throttle and gentle up changes would see that turn of speed..
It is amusing seeing a car having to make a run for its life to keep up with other now more modern unassuming cars.
Production cars move on so quickly these days that what handles averagely today was the top gear lap record 10 years ago.
Okay Perry might've not been as fast driver 2 or 3 but you get the jist.

Fast enough, 140 at top end of 4th with 2 gears to go
Lol was making a statement that's quick enough for me

What age is your car?
Thought it was older than when 6-speeds came into use..
Well yes the Audi is nice and fast and loaded with kit and no doubt an absolute cinch to drive very quickly. You can probably cane it through the box with just one finger on the wheel quite calmly whereas concentration was needed when giving my GT the same level of stick.
The other big developments in todays cars are the brakes. From a charging 90 down to a stand I had to modulate my distance from him as he could clearly stop on a sixpence (and without any drama) whereas everyone here knows the GT has terrible brakes as standard for a performance car so getting up close to try and say Hi I am still here isnt a wise move.
I reckon de-limited these things will pull to 170 with ease.
Today the score has to be;-
Audi 1
Fiat 0
Clarkster have you swallowed a dictionary or been on a writing course lately?
Why, thank you for that, kind Sir but thats just my normal standard apart from the Audi "Doodie" and "ya man in da audi" bits!
