    Flexi pipe

I'm on my second gt now and yet again my down pipe is blowing from the flexi.
Can I just cut the flexi out and weld a piece of exhaust in?

You need some flex or you will just break the manifold or something. You could get a Supersprint downpipe and decat like mine which doesn't have a flexi. Instead it has a special flange and spring loaded bolts to hold it together.

Find the cause of the problem. My rear gearbox mount having excessive play caused me to go through flexi's like nobody's business. New mount and a downpipe built by a custom exhaust place (slightly adjusted angles) and never had a problem after the that.

Depends how low you are with coilies wound amost all the way down they scrape on everything. Either raise your car or make a sheild?

Surely Evil elbow and downpipe would be better? Performance wise at least, i thought supersprint downpipes were like gold dust anyway?

Why would a Dr Evil one be better? Same diameter but has a flexi. I'm not saying its not better just curious to know why you think that?

SS ones are rare but you can get them. Expensive when new though.

I thought they had a tighter bend on the downpipe for clearance? Aint supersprint a 2.25"? For easy availability surely Evil is the one to for?

The SS bolts onto the standard turbo elbow, yes. So not as good at the Dr Evil elbow for sure.

For ease the Dr Evil one will be easier to get hold of definitely, but that's doesn't necessarily make it better
