why is the block machined on the under side..? and those je pistons have they got a bit of a dish in them?
here is my mini had it for a few years now ,,was running over 200bhp ,
but after messing around with boost settings the head gasket let go due to the head lifting an pushing all 4 rings out ,here few pics an time for a fresh engine

Love this bet this is a flying machine
je pistons are from my old gt engine ,there same as the gt with the eyebrows etc
block is machined due to fitting a gt crank an the rod bolts catch the block ,have fitted arp an they clear now
it does go well an round bends unlike puntos lol

is that the original mini subframe with extra supports for the new engine or a whole new front subframe? once again, love this thing so much! i'm definitely doing this!
no its a rover metro (wider track than mini set-up) has 4 engine mounts to stop rock of engine an few modifications to fit the mini ,, can use mini frame an get the engine to sit lower an closer to the bulk head an also fits a rounds nose front on too .
