its a bodge though at the end of the day there must be a reason why fiat felt the need for a metal tank

Ye but at that price no one is going to pay it. Realistically people are always going to go for the plastic one.

If yours was half the price it would sell allot quicker. You know how this place is like lately. No one will pay high for good parts anymore. They would rather buy crap and keep replacing it with more crap.

Personally I think 150's a bargain for a tank in this condition, I inquired at fiat couple of years ago and they wanted 600+ for a new one. And finding a rust free used one was near on impossible. So I resorted to fitting a plastic one.
Problem I think you have with finding a buyer is any one that's fitted a plastic tank has also had to remove the mounting brackets for the metal tanks rendering them useless. Unless someone wants the greif of welding brackets back on again to get back the extra 5lt in capacity.

this is ideal for someone doing up say a cheap MOT failure thats got a leaking metal tank but yeah nobodys going to swap back after converting to plastic - they wont have the brackets anymore or they were butchered grinding them off.
i think new they are £500 from Fiat.
