Glad to hear its going to a good home, what car will you be going for next?
yeah, they said they went to brooklands, lovely guys and the dads Uno is indeed a minter. apparently its the same 1372cc as the turbo punto and unot (just without the turbo!)
yeah its definitely going to a good home........ive suggested they pay a tenner and join PSC - the advice alone is worth the fee.

the plan was not to drive again due to the increasing costs of fuel even for a 1.4 - im currently out of work and the costs to insure her when its hardly getting used isnt really justified.
only the other night i was reminiscing with friends about how we thought nothing of going down to the Birmingham races on a Saturday night (for those of you who were there youll remember all the antics on Masshouse Car Park, the "Esses" around the Bham markets cars 3 abreast, Lawley Street for the drag racing, Hams Hall, ASDA Small Heath, Coventry Road at Hay Mills and Tyseley, Broad Street for posing etc.) - this was at its peak between 1998 and 2003 before the police clamped down. everyone would burn around moving from place to place as the feds moved you on and we'd easily clock 200 miles of dicking around up in a night but you never thought about the cost of fuel back then. £20 max would do you all night. it was a cheap night out.
I used to be able to throw in £30-35 and go to Wales and back for some mountain biking now its more like £50 there and back. a joke.
basically the cost of fuel is now starting to kill this countries economy. rant over.
Blimey I remember Hams Hall and Birmingham Wheels from back in the day. Those times are gone I'm afraid

OK Back up for sale. The lads best quote for the insurance on her was £2,000!
No sale
The father and son both wanted it and they said if I get 12 months MOT they will take it (subject to the insurance) so now she has a full MOT from 7th May - no advisories, no nothing. Like Ive said the car is A1 and deserves a good home.
That's a real shame.
Must have been quite a young lad to be getting quotes like that.
Think I'm only paying about £400py for my standard one.
19 apparently. they only wanted £282 pro-rata from now until his renewal in November on an £800 current premium.
doesnt make sense.
That's a shame!
Sorry to hear the sale fell through. Insurance can be a minefield, even for me (looks like ~£500 fully comp. plus extras if I go for an AGP SS).

£2000 at 19 is cheap, what did they expect
