I rang the insurance company and they have quoted me £391 fully comp with breakdown cover which includes home start, so pretty happy with that. I'll be taking it out at end of the month and finally getting the GT on the road

Insurance is only cheap if you live out in the sticks these days. Your best bet is to always shop around; I have found that the companies who offer insurance via forums are usually a load of crap for me - I've never had a competitive quote from the likes of Flux, or Sky. The only company I can get decent quotes from is Greenlight. The comparison sites are usually over the odds too.

Paid £599 fully comp on the Abarth, including the missus as a named driver. Best quote elsewhere was with Admiral, £740 and that was for a 10mth policy, from memory it was around £860 for 12mths with them (which was also my next best quote!). I'm 26 with 3 years NCB. Can't knock saving £260 for making a couple of phonecalls.
If you have any car care related questions, ask me in the Cleaning/Detailing section.
