Hi folks,
Iv currently got a Mk 1 Sporting, and its nearing the end! just clocked up 118k and garage says its gonna cost me a fortune when MOT comes round in June! and ive just recently spent 800 on her!
I was already thinking of replacing her with maybe a Grande Punto Sporting, Ive seen a 2006 one 1.4 16v for £4300 with 35k on clock, can anyone give me any advice, hints as to what to look for, are they any good? Ive read about some dodgy electric problems?

Fan motors tend to wear out. But they can be replaced easily but at about 80 for the part new.
although to be honest if your looking at a private sale i would say that 4300 is too much.
4300 would be dealer price range with an arm and a leg.
i paid 4999 for a 56 plate 1.2 3 1/2 years ago That was with 4000 miles on the clock.
Its only got 38000 on now.
