Looks bang on mate! Good work.
Last time I hand polished the car. This time I finally got round to using my DA polisher (Dodo Juice Spin Doctor Pro)
Products used:
Farecla G3 Scratch Remover (in places)
Farecla G3 Paint Rejuvination
Chemical Guys Gloss
Meguiars Carnauba Wax
Turtle Wax tyre shine
Masking tape (really should have masked more parts of the car)
I forgot to take before pictures again. But you can see from the first page of my Abarth GT3 thread the difference.
Added 10bhp after this mod
For those of you who have a beading fetish.
Looks bang on mate! Good work.
wow what a difference
Looking good
My neighbours were wondering what I was doing. One thought I was respraying the car.
I've had one person who lives on the other side of the street asking if I'm a professional, he couldn't believe it's my first time doing this.
I need Debos approval. There are parts that need improving but most of the car is bang tidy! SHATING is what came to mind after I finished.
Looks proper epic that mate. Lovely and vivid.
Has that been painted before? Looks proper fresh if it hasn't!
The front and rear bumper for sure.
The rest I really can't say. I may clay it next time round.
This took roughly 4 hours to do. I'll spend some more time on it next time round.
For my first attempt, I'm happy!! I've had a few visitors knock on my door this evening, neighbours grandad says he was watching me thinking what a nutter.
Should have clayed it before really, well done at having a go yourself, 10/10 for effort!
You don't need my approval at all mate, the results speak for themselves. Great effort mate, the car looks lovely. Red's a great colour for gloss!
Only tips. I can add really are (as Ben said) clay the car before polishing for next time - this will stop any embedded contamination being picked up on the pad and causing damage as you're polishing (like micromarring etc). Also stops the pad getting clogged! My other tip would be to work in smaller areas. I'm guessing you did the bonnet in 2 halves? Try quarters next time for a panel of that size. With a DA especially, it'll increase the level of correction and effectiveness of the polish by concentrating it on a smaller area.
Really great work though for a 1st attempt.
