How do I remove the plastic around the drivers side and passengers air vent

I went to the scrap yard the other day and found a bright blue punto 60 and the centre consol and the air vent surrounds are a deep blue colour looks really smart and I want them it's a genuine colour as well bot been sprayed

What other colour interior did punto do mines the normal Gray

the whole units just clip out, prise out with screw driver.

all puntos were grey plastic, apart from special 'team 60' edition which were as you saw, dark blue.

Flat head screw driver and a cloth, the cloth is to prevent you from scratching the plastic if you get too keen.

Wedge the screwdriver in and prise the vent out.

I mounted blue LED's in all my vents on the mk1....had a switch hidden in the drivers footwell to control them so I could have backlit vents whenever I was showing off

God no....pop the vents out, drill holes, mount the leds and wire up.

From what i remember I ran the wiring off the centre dash illuminations through a switch in the footwell so the switch would only work when the I had the lights on. You could leave them permanently on but the centre vent leds gave a bit of a headache.

Only catch is making sure the wiring fits once the vents are replaced.
