Just messing with my new wide angle lens really, trying to get a grip on how to use it most effectively. Opinions appreciated, on the photos or the car.

Its a Sigma 17-30mm aespherical. It's not a bank breaker, worth around £250 ish. Ideally I'd like a 10-20mm Canon, or even a nice fisheye but I cannot spend any more on my camera after buying a 400mm prime telephoto lens for this years Grand Prix, as well as the wide angle :SOriginally Posted by Superman

I was gonna ask which lense it was. Looks a little out of focus at the edge of a couple of pictures
Its out of focus due to the DOF. Essentially the camera was still set up from when I was taking closeup pictures while trying to get the whole of the background completely blurred. I have a lot to learn still about photography,,,,,
Ahhhh, thats fair enough! I was gonna say generally Sigmas are really good, not had much practive with my 10-20mm but it seems a good lense
The lens seems to be pretty much perfect. I have tested it on wide horizons and the horizontal line is perfectly straight ( a cheap wide angle will curve at the edges)
Just need to learn learn and learn some more
