    Rear strut brace??

0Has anyone ever tried putting a brace on the rear struts where they bolt on like this....

Would it improve the handling or is it a waste of time?

it would reinforce the axel therefore i guess would make it a bit more stable.
you have to take into consideration clearances and things like that

Yeah. The top one would be fine i expect but could possible have the bottom one as an arch to cover clearance?

Only problem with having the one at the bottom of the struts is that the suspension arms wouldnt be independent, not sure how this would affect handling, but cant imagine it would be good.

Top one might be an idea, might have a look myself

A brace is meant to be rigid, i might be missing something here, but you couldnt put it on the bottom as they will be constantly moving up and down depending on the road surface. Please point out and correct me if im in a world of my own.

Indeed. By me reckoning go over a bump with just your right side for example and the dampers will compress on that side but will stay level the other side resulting in potential accident/damage/imabarbiegirl/death/inabarbieworld.
