Pain in the arse though if you do have to keep bothering Forge don't you think??

That's a big defining factor, the noise. The air isn't been vented to atmosphere so it doesn't really make a loud noise.

a cone filter allows the chirruping noise through on a recirc.

It's not a GT but the Evo chirps unless it's a dump after some full throttle, the spring is very strong so doesn't open during normal driving, the Evo drives alot nice off boost than a GT does though.

The Mint used to chirp for the same reason using a Collins.

Cheers for the response guys, quite fancy the recirc so may hold up for one to come up cheap first unless i have an amazing offer on an atmospheric.

Two years ago Dods and I ran the HKS set up on recirc. Could ask for a better set-up IMO. Held boost spot on,let go when you wanted it to and sounded the nuts.

    ^^^^^best option

Billy did you turn the valve round like I said.

My forge recirc plumbed opposite to standard so that the pressure comes round from the boost pipe into the bottom of the valve and out the side into the intake

The valve should always be pushing against the boost, not be pressed down by it.

If it is being pressed down by it you have it on the wrong way around!
