    Iphone 3 unlock

Just bought my 1st iphone from my sister and its a brand new replacment from apple as the original one had broken screen, the old one was on O2 but i have a vodofone sim.

Anyone know how to unlock these to accept different sim cards?

Iphones are unlocked from Iphone they dont place a sim lock on it as far as im aware mate?

You just need the little pokey release tool for the little hatch on top of the phone.

check the firmware the phone is running etc. 3.1.2, then check if there is a jailbreak and unlock for the firmware you are using i use spirit J/B wich also enables message tones free apps and all sorts and ofc any network

ok managed to downgrade after lots of difficulty, jailbreaked it and run cydia, installed ulstrasnow.

put my vodafone sim in but it just keeps aying searching in the top corner, carnt phone out either.
