wonder if anyone cld help me im lookin to buy a punto gt ive found one but the guy has said the Turbo is blowing out of the manifold, causing lack of boost.
What does this mean ? Turbo Blown or new manifold needed please advise me cs really wanna gt

could be that the manifold is cracked or a gasket is gone shouldn't be to hard to fix.

Depends how much 'lack of boost' there is. If theres no boost at all then i don't think the manifold is to blame...

swanny could only manage about 5psi when her manifold-turbo studs were naffed.

could be dodgey gaskets, cracked manifold, cracked wastegate housing(less noisey).

Lol I have personal experience with this problem at the moment.

Gaskets are easy to change but not if the head studs are naffed - which will need head off and repair, not expensive just an irritating job for what seems quite comical.

I am still managing about 12psi athough she is laggier than before and sounds like a tank! If there is no boost I would suspect another problem.
