    Question Audi a3 1.8 turbo

    Anybody ever had one of these. Thinking about getting one. Let me no you'r thoughts. All i no iss that they come standard with forged piston's conrods,crank.

    All I know is they're f*cking boring to drive, boring to look at and common as muck. All the chavs round by me have them now you can pick them up for pennies.

    first ive heard of it..... as below they are boring, the VAG 20VT is so smooth it doesnt feel like a forced induction car imo. personally i'd go for a 2.7 V6 bi turbo s4

    i had the 20v turbo engine in a golf and as said above it is a very smooth and boring engine and you dont really get that awesome turbo kick you do from the gt. they are easy to tune and 200bhp can been seen from a good remap. but the dual mass flywheel cant take much extra torque. i had to swapped mine for a solid mass flywheel from a mk2 golf g60 and use a vr6 clutch. but if serviced well high milage can been seen easy

    They have forged pistons, I'm using a set in my GT

    a good remapper will give you the punchy kick that people crave. when i had mine mapped, i asked him for an aggressive kick, and he did just that.
