WMS 4-Pot Punto (284mm Mk1, 298.5mm Mk2) brake kit info/prices: http://www.puntosports.co.uk/forums/...ad.php?t=78745
Very nice!!!
Shame the steering wheel is on the wrong side
Lol :-D Glad it is on the wrong side then :-)
Thx all for the respect!
@ Keri: Still braking strong
Had a run with the HGT, first one since the rollcage upgrade.
Her ass is a bit looser in a playfull way :-) on the brakes en turn in, but is more stable mid corner!
Beat my personal best with with 0,4 sec, even though all the traffic and learning the cars new behaviours. Another second should be made 'easily' next time
Awesome video! I cant beleive you were nearly pushing the 370Z out of the way
Is it just me, or do you coast into some corners before braking?
When i have been on a track, i think i am too aggressive and out of control, i tend to brake very hard very late. I think i need to chill out and be smoother like you
Do you think the WMS brake kit is good for the track?

Hi KAS,
Thx! Too bad I didn't get one more lap on that 350Z, it would be owned :-)
I think the video gives the sence of coasting, but I don't
I did tend to build op the brakepressure a bit before hammering it down, cause I was still getting to know the new behaviour of her back end :-)
Zandvoort is a 'weavy' course with a lot of camber-corners at the turn in points. Some corners even start with postive camber at the brake points, but run over in off-camber at the turn in point. This makes the back end loose, so heavy braking followed by a swift turn in, can make her go sideways (see 9:37 in the vid).
But on 'normal' corners and when I'm familiair with her new behaviours, I also hammer as late and as hard as I can/dare :-)
Good brakes with race pads dont like to be dragged! They excell when pushed hard. So keep on braking late and hard as you can :-)
I can realy advise the WMS-kit! It is lightweight and the 4 pistons do give some serious braking power. Combined with quality discs like Tarox, it's a perfect kit for this car.
I race with Ferode DS3000 and when on temperature, it brakes firm and steady!
Haha! I think you would have owned it as well!
Ah I see, maybe it was the change in the exhaust tone and the smoothness of the turn in that made me think you were coasting... Thanks for the tips! I'm looking forward to the next video
Thanks for the feedback on the brakes too, they have caught my interest, I'm considering getting rid of the coupe brakes so I can keep 15" wheels - the weight difference is also a big improvement. I know the Mk1 kit is a bit smaller than the mk2 kit, but from what you say the kit seems very capable!
I didn't notice the camber, gonna have to watch the vid again!
Awesome car!
Thx Danny!!
@ KAS: Just give Keri (WMS) a shout and he will help/sort you out!
