    is 400hp not enough?

I was thinking about some cams when i had my belts done but decided against it, mates going to tweek the map soon to get my torque back up, should be plenty enough then tbh, already abit mental for every day use.

No massive power. To expensive to tune, if i require a new engine at some point i'll definately go for a 2.4litre or something.

    690hp???

Evos cost enough to run as it is, Evo tuning is on another planet, its serious money. Evo taxation on parts etc...

Be happy if i could get my torque upto 380-400ibft, maybe creep the power over 400 to say 420. After that pistons things will start to break which i really dont want!

Mates been running 480hp on stock MR Bottom end, GSC1 cams and a BBK Full turbo for a year and been fine, but it has worn two pistons out now. Not bd for a stock 2litre..

Over 400hp, Simon Norris will have you believe you need to pay him a grand for a 'rod job' but in actual fact there are very few rod failures (probably because most of coughed up with all the scare mongering) its pistons that are the first week point.

Imagine a standard GT headgasket taking 300hp, thats the kind of reliability the standard 4G63 gives.
