Nope, always had my own policy since I was 17, my mum is on it to lower it but with 0 ncb so I can't see anything illegal or wrong with that. Especially as she has driven it a few times..
i can insure e36 m3 evo's for £2000, but i dont want an older car, it just seems for some reason the e46's are more expensive to insure.

some might think its madness me spending 4k atm on a 12 yr old nissan but its what i enjoy doing as i expect the same with beau.
the difference is ur actually getting somthing that u keep for 4k beau is on about 3k insurance somthing which he will never see again
either way, he's spending 3k on his motoring hobby.

if id of got a 318 and had cheap insurance you'd of all told me its slow, crap and should of got a 330- cant win
