I made my own last week, runs spot on! But i replicated the shape of the original AFM>turbo hose.
70mm->60mm 90deg reducer, and a 70mm 90deg alloy pipe. Used the cut offs from the reducer to use...
That's pretty weird.
I dunno about the filter being directly on the AFM - for years, i had mine extended a bit longer than Lee has his and i never had any issues with boost.
