10" subs punch quick basslines out, 12/15" subs give longer deeper notes, if you play a fast dance track hard on a 12" it gets behind n starts to flap n sound crap. bigger subs move more air which lets it bust a bigger longer note out. 10s are real punchy tho. its also down to quality how its gonna perform aswell tho

TBH if you don't want to just test bass i'd reccoment Dido's album, if you're more of an SQ fairy. Very good quality recording and quite alot of instruments/frequencies are used.
