Mk1 Punto 1242 16v complete engine with extras
Hi,
For sale is my Mk1 Punto 1.2 16v engine. The engine was removed from my Panda a few weeks ago due to upgrading to a 1.4 turbo.
The engine was removed from a car at 86,000 miles and I did 4,000 miles on it last year. The reason my miles are so low is that I and a friend car share on a weekly basis, so fortunately my cars hardly get used!
Anyway it has now done around 90,000 miles.
Baddies
Honesty is the best policy, and the only thing I can say is that on a -10 degree morning the engine taps for a few seconds before oil gets around and it warms a little. From what I have read, this is common for the 16v engine and most owners actually use a different grade of oil for the winter months. Nothing serious but non-the-less I have told you anyway.
Goodies
Lightened & balanced flywheel
Clutch is only 4,000 miles old
I replaced all inlet gaskets when I did the engine swap
Comes with leftovers from the gasket kit e.g head gasket, valve stem seals etc
Comes with cone filter and silicone 90 degree bend
The engine is complete and comes with all manifolds, alternator, starter, injectors etc
Thats basically it! It's a decent engine, pulled extremely well in my Panda and would go back into a Punto/Cinq/Panda perfectly.
