We all know of Grabit and newsbin, but are there any better progs out there? Grabit is great, but on older machines its pretty memory and processor intensive :(

Mozilla Thunderbird - IMO way better than Outlook Express, does my emails and newsgroups nicely :)

just a quick note to say cheers for suggesting grabit ! when it asks for my newsgroup i just put in my default ntl one (news.cable.ntlworld.com) . Are there any others or are they any decent groups worth subscribing to ? looking to *backup* my original copy of *ahem* farcry just cant seem to find it on the newsgroup, anyone know where it is ?
