mk1 squeeked now mk2 squeeks!

i changed my 02 mk1 to a sports mk2/b 04 and not sure if there is owt wrong with the suspension/springs. first cars springs were so ground down car nearly fell over so had them replaced. but new car makes such a loud noise! i've had them checked and they seem fine.

are punto's just squueky???? its so annoying

normaly ppl say they hear a squeek comming from the rear passenger side which was the same as mine and they say its the handbrake cable rubbing on stuff.

i just cable tied my flapping handbrake cable to the next best thing to see if stops the squeek.

only done it yest so dont know how its gone yet

Where is the squeak coming from?

The squeak that comes from the rear of alot of Mk2's tends to be where the handbrake cable is clipped under the car. It drys out and just needs greasing, :)
