Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo

My mate is looking to buy one of these and doesn't know a great deal about there reliabilty/performance and so on? We went to look at one in a garage yesterday but the f#cking w#nker saleman said he would only give us the details if one of us was gonna buy it!!! :evil: Needless to say we told him to shove it. As if anyones gonna buy a car without even sitting in it let alone without knowing the history and modifications! :roll:

Well a little hint, it's made by Nissan. They're japanese, and their reliability is usually top notch.

our computer says. uh uh.

300zxs are great when they work, but when they go wrong expect it to bankrupt you.

a supra is a much better choice.

known reliability problems for the 300 im afraid.

I have heard this before. I think they fade off quite quickly under heavy use. Could be dangerous if being ragged!! :lol:

Its my mate thats buying it but I'll let him know what your thoughts are! :wink:

I must admit though I do think they are lovely cars especially with a couple of minor mods 8)

Very complex cars. Any sort of engine work except basic stuff is usually a nightmere. there are lots of lemons out there. know headgasket and warped head problems. poor cooling system. poor driveshaft reliability. Good cars when they are going right, terrible when going wrong.

brakes are bloody awesome, but you need good pads and pads are bloody expensive
